RC DRIFTING

Hi Again!

After more than 25 years in the rc hobby (I started in the late 70's)
I am excited again since I tried the new craze of rc drifting. It's
just so much fun trying to drift a car thru corners.

Here is a quick guide to help you get your rc car set up for
drifting:

Give rc drifting a try, I'm sure you will be hooked!

BUILDING AN RC TRACK

I am lucky that my nearest on-road rc track is just 15 minutes
away from my home. But still, there are times when I want to run
my rc cars without leaving my house.

So, I decided to resurface my garage, put new concrete, and
build a small 22 feet by 16 feet rc track. It's big enough for my
1/28 Kyosho Mini-Z, and it allows me to practice 45 mins every
day.

Here is a step by step guide should you want to build your own
rc car race track:

P.S. I also noticed that since I started practicing everyday with
the small mini rc cars, I have also improved my driving skill with my
1/10 scale Tamiya M-Chassis.

READER'S EMAIL - BEST MONSTER TRUCK?

Q: Hi Joel. Which monster truck is the best? I want to buy the
MT but before that I need information. Thanks, Yus, Malaysia.

A: Hi Yus. Try reading thru various forums (e.g. www.rctech.net)
to get meaningful feedback about various monster trucks.

Personally I would get a Tamiya TNX since I am a Tamiya fan.
But things to consider would be local parts support, buy a model
that your local hobby shop supports. Nothing worse than not
able to get spare parts.

Hope this helps.
