Hi,

This is the 58th issue and I need your help in making this news-

hobby.

So... if you have a nice rc car or truck, why not send me a photo
and article or review of your pride and joy? Besides showing
your car to the monthly 80,000+ visitors of RCCarTips.com,
you'll also be helping beginners enjoy the hobby.

Email your photos and review to me at rccartips@hotmail.com

BEST RADIO CONTROL TOURING CARS

If you're into street looking cars, here is a rundown of, in my
personal opinion, the best radio control touring cars as of June
2005.

Tamiya TRF415 - I love Tamiya r/c cars, so I am biased towards
the Tamiya TRF 415. This radio control touring car is the current
and back to back IFMAR Touring Car Champion and the
2005 LRP Touring Car Champion.

Associated TC4 - Still producing top notch racing machines, the
Associated TC4 won the 2005 Reedy Race of Champions beating
tough competition from Tamiya, Hot Bodies, Yokomo, and
Xray.

Yokomo - With one of the world's best driver, Yokomo and
Masami Hirosaka are the best in Japan and consistently place
in major championships. The MR4TC BD placed 5th in the
2005 Reedy Race, 4th in the 2005 LRP Masters, and the
MRTC-SDW 4th in the 2004 IFMAR World Championship.

Top Touring Cars for 2005

Tamiya 415MSX
Associated FT TC4
Hot Bodies Cyclone
Xray T1FK'05
Yokomo MR4TC BD

TIPS FOR A FASTER TOURING CAR

In the highly competitive touring car category, the skill in braking
is very important. Take a look at the recent winning touring
cars, more often than not the front is equipped with a spool.
The spool is similar to a solid axle, allowing the driver to brake
harder and deeper into a corner.

Take a look at the fast drivers in your area. Notice that some
do a quick "blip" on the brake (full brake for a fraction of a
second), others even do a double blip. So rather that braking
smoothly, the fast drivers brake hard and deep into a corner.

Braking is hard to master, but if you want to take your driving
to the next level, mastery of braking is a must.
