Even a LeMans body can join the fun. 20 Aug 2011 - A group of friends and F1 fans gathered at JP Raceway to have a fun day of racing, talking and laughing. Photo above: The F1 RC Club drivers. Allan C, Allan, Jomil, Porsha, Mark, Ron, Jun and Carlo. Not in the photo were Jygs, Rey and Joel (me taking the photos). It was a good first gathering of 11 drivers for the revival of the F1 r/c club. Welcome to the new faces such as Allan and Carlo. And welcome back to old faces such as Allan "Oldskul" Colico and Mark Flores. It was unfortunate that the AMB lap counting system had technical issues and did not work. But that did not stop us from racing and having fun. Triple A-mains of 10 minutes were run. Who won? Who cares, everyone had fun racing and laughing. It's what the F1 club is about. Here's a quick video summarizing the event. For the first meeting, it was a run what you brung event. Chassis were Tamiya F103, F104 and 3Racing F109.
