Local Hobby Shops - Philippines

Here is a partial list local hobby shops in the Philippines. I am just a regular hobbyist who buys from as many stores as possible. Below is my personal experience, good and bad. Please note, others may have a different experience. So please take my feedback in addition to others and formulate your own opinion.

1. Lil's Hobby Center
Official Tamiya distributor and hobby shop in the Philippines. Tamiya rc cars. Also rc helicopters and airplanes.

My first time to buy from Lils was in the 1980s, and continue to do so for the past 25 years. Sometimes I experience salesladies who do not have a smile on their face, but I simply overlook that and buy what I need. Prices are reasonable.

2. Pit Shop
Hobby shop selling various brands such as Associated, Losi, etc. 153-D Araneta Avenue, Q.C. opposite PNB between SM Sta Mesa and So En, Tel: 716-6553.

Owned by an rc racer who is knowledgeable on the products he is selling. Fair prices and my experience as a customer is good.

3. Action Hobbies
Sells HPI and Hotbodies RC cars and trucks. 

I used to buy from Action Hobbies. Had good customer experience and recommended them. However, I recently had a bad experience and no longer buy from them as a personal decision.

Kindly note others may have a good experience. But as I myself have decided to stop patronizing this shop, I can no longer give a recommendation.

4. Sonic Boom
Sells offroad buggies and trucks, especially nitro models. Next to a hobby shop is a very large off road and on road racing tracks. Inside Boom na Boom, across the World Trade Center, CEL#09206184110.

I do a lot of window shopping but have no experience buying from this shop. Feel free to visit and check it out for yourself. I've had good experience racing at their facility.

Summary and Recommendation

There are other hobby shops in the Philippines, but I have no experience visiting or buying from them. Feel free to visit these other shops and hopefully share your experiences.

While I may have a good experience with a particular shop, others may not. And vice versa. Information here is not to discredit or give preference to a particular store, but to answer those who ask me for my opinion and personal experience.

My buying decision is also influenced by the brand of rc cars. For example, I like Tamiya and seek out hobby shops that sell this brand.
