TIP OF THE DAY

To glue or not to glue tires to the wheels?

There are benefits to not gluing tires to the wheels. One is that
the tires will slip a bit under hard acceleration, allowing you to
accelerate smoother.

Second, it is easy to replace worn out tires without damaging the
wheels.

However, for some cars and trucks, you need to glue the tires to
the wheels... otherwise the tires will come of the wheels during
running.

You would normally glue tires on modified touring cars and
especially nitro powered machines. Otherwise, you will laugh
when you see your rubber tires roll down the track faster than
your rc car.

PERSONAL NOTES

For those who just joined this newsletter, I built RCCarTips.com
in January 2003.

At first, the site was getting 80 visitors a day, which already
made me happy.

Today - and 100+ pages later - the site gets around 1,000 visitors
per day. And that just motivates me to do a better job of
