REMOTE CONTROL TRUCKS PRICE LIST

Last week was about touring cars. This week is dedicate to those
who love remote control trucks.

Here I decided to compile a price list of all types of remote control
trucks. Whether you are an electric rc truck fan, or prefer gas
powered nitro trucks, I have included it in the price list.

TIP OF THE DAY

Question:
Can I run my nitro rush in wet/ice/snow weather. If I could what
would I have to do to water proof the electrics etc...

This question is more important to uk rc'ers rather than some
others as I live in Scotland and we get a lot of rain up here
compared to other countries. Thanks Scott.

Answer:
Running nitro cars or trucks in water or snow is safer than when
running electric models. But there are still some items to protect
from moisture, such as the receiver.

Whenever I race in the wet or played in the New York winter
snow, I waterproof the receiver by simply wrapping it with Saran
plastic wrap. And after playing, dry off the truck to prevent
rusting.

TAMIYA TNX REMOTE CONTROL TRUCK

It seems that Tamiya has upped the performance by making the
Tamiya TNX faster than the Tamiya Terra Crusher. Claimed top
speeds of 40+ mph makes the TNX a worthwhile contender to
the HPI Savage 21 and Traxxas T-Maxx.

PERSONAL NOTES

I was just watching Tech TV, and they had a segment about RC
cars. They had Cliff Lett of Team Associated, and they showed
an 80 miles per hour electric TC3 car going down a street. They
also showed the Guinness World record holder 111 mph electric
rc car, also from Team Associated. Cliff Lett mentioned their
goal of going for 130+ mph!

RC cars... and trucks... are really going faster and faster. I
remember starting out with a Tamiya Ford Ranger XLT (1979)
and this went around 11 miles per hour. Now cars using the
same sized motors and 7.2 volt batteries are going 5 times faster.

I wonder how fast remote control trucks will be in 5 years?
