Tamiya Asia Cup 2011 Philippine Championship
Photo: Tamiya TA05 version 2 Mach Gogogo r/c car driven by my 10 year old daughter to become the TAC 2011 Jr. Stock Champion (Philippines). The 2011 Tamiya Asia Cup Philippine Qualifier was a gruelling 14 race series from January to August. There were several rc car classes. Jr. Stock - For those under 15 years old. Super Stock - Tamiya TT01 cars with stock motors. F1 - Tamiya F104 Formula One cars. Mini - Tamiya M05 and M06 M-chassis models. GT - Tamiya TA05 and TA06 4wd r/c cars with modified motors. FWD - Tamiya FF03 front wheel drive. The winners will be fully sponsored to travel and compete in the Tamiya Asia Cup 2011 Regionals in Singapore. Here are the results. Photo: My daughter won the Jr. Stock Class and I luckily managed to win the F1 category. I believe this is the first ever father/daughter combo to win the TAC qualifier in the same year. JR. CLASS Photo: I used a 1/10 Tamiya F103 15 Anniversary Edition r/c car with a Ferrari 312T3 Formula One body to win the series and championship. This is the 14th year of the Tamiya Asia Cup, one of the longest running radio control car racing series worldwide. Many different classes to choose from, depending on your skill level, budget and car preference. Best of all, you get a free trip should you become the champion. Hope my daughter and I have good luck in Singapore!
