Tamiya Asia Cup 2011 in Baguio
Photo: Temporary Tamiya R/C track in Baguio Country Club. So many kids screaming and watching the morning practise. My daughter and I made the 5-1/2 drive from Manila to Baguio to race in Round 2 of the TAC 2011. We arrived 11am Friday and visited the track at the IPMS event in Baguio Country Club. Tamiya R/C Car Race VideoAbove: Short video of the event. Hope you like it. Initially the rc cars were drifting around the track. Everyone was searching for grip. In the Tamiya Mini M-chassis class the tires that worked were the M-Grip. Highlight of the event were the young kid racers, some were only 6 years old! Future champions.
Then there was Mr. Ironman, Noel Aldaba, who raced in 6 different classes. He never left the driver stand except when it was time for the kids class.
On second thought, based on photo above... just kidding. Thanks Tutoy for lending Porsha tires and parts, much appreciated. There were many classes. Racing started Saturday 10am and finished around 8pm.
Photo: The classes and results. Non-stop day of rc racing. Classes: My daughter raced in TAC
Mini and Jr. Stock class, while I entered in Tamiya F1. We
were lucky to have good racing results. After two days, my daughter and I were very tired.
I'm dead tired. Hahaha. The TAC 2011 Baguio was a fun event. Congrats to the organizers and racers who participated. And to think this was only Round 2 of a 17-race series. Join us and see you at the next Tamiya R/C event.
